Experienced Project Architect or Project Manager
We are looking to hire an experienced project architect or project manager to oversee the design and execution of construction projects for our clients. With each project, you will be meeting with clients, consulting engineers and contractors, completing construction design, managing and communicating with drafting staff and overseeing the entire construction process from start to finish.
To ensure success as a project architect/manager, you should have in-depth knowledge of architectural design, construction and building codes, experience with project management, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ultimately, a top-class project architect is able to translate the ideas of the client into a fully built design on time and within budget.
Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture and 4-5 years of working experience. Knowledge of construction and building codes.
Training: Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD and/or ArchiCAD, Adobe, Microsoft Office
Skills:
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interact with clients, engineering consultants, contractors and design personnel to identify and achieve project objectives; ability to represent the owner to governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the project, i.e. building departments, homeowners associations, design review committees
Management Skill: Ability and experience directing staff in the development of project drawings, reviewing and redlining; coordinating with engineering consultants to ensure effective collaboration and timely completion of construction sets; maintaining project quality control by reviewing and making necessary adjustments to shop drawings
Team work Ability: Adept at working with a team of project design and technical staff as well as owners, contractors and subcontractors to successfully meet project deadlines.
